For the same reason the light from the shop windows looks so pink. See also the previous photo in this album, where this place appears in the background. Much less compensation of the green mercury line there, resulting in a hue that, for this lamp, does not represent the visual appearance either.

And a 400 watts lamp because this single lantern has, for whatever reason, not been modified like all the other BG 2 around. See here.
