Unknown street light

seen at a postal vehicle lot in LA. I've never noticed a fixture like this, looks sort of like the old MV fittings of the eastern bloc. anyone know what it is? (it might be common please pardon my lack tech knowledge)

It looks very much GEC make to me GEC 'Turtleback" lanterns

LED streetlights are flipping Yussless!!!! I'd may as well be in the dark!!!!!

I am from the UK and long ago especially the majority of the roads of my hometown, Reading, had GEC street lanterns in mostly SOX and SON but also MV too

To me this lantern does not have the 'USA" style look, its very much British looking

It doesn't resemble any I've seen, but that doesn't mean anything
