Runs 2 or 4 lamps, weird how the neutral is switched, basically both neutrals together is all 4 lamps and no grey wire only lights 2 lamps, but connecting grey and not white no lamps light
Used this for a 4 lamp F40 fixture and it was 180w! Full power for sure, it has EOL protection but not the cathode sensing type since it ran 4 pretty near EOL lamps fine, but if it's too EOL it won't even start up
Haven't tested the GE yet its 2 foot long! . I have to find some wires to plug into it

Yep! And the GE behaves very similar, except startup is about 1 second, looked this ballast up and its discontinued, a parallel version replaced it

Probably due to slim fixtures, they don't have room for a beefy ballast and for heat distribution I believe this would be better

I think it could have something to do with powering the ballast from 277V, and the control from 120V rated device (occupancy sensor etc), so to not require 277V to go through the control device

i doubt it since most control devices also have a 120-277V rating the control is usually 24V and sometimes different brands will still work with others fine
