Oh well, if you must use wire nuts, at least use pink ones

Pink wirenuts don't exist. This one was either red or orange and developed a chalky white film from the heat inside the light. They make black wirenuts that are specially designed for high-heat applications like light fixtures.

Please check out my newly-updated website! McCann Lighting Company is where my street light collection is displayed in detail.

Ok, that's a pity..! I really don't like wire nuts, but I'd hoped that if people do insist on using them they could at least use girly ones

thing is it can look like rats nest with all those extra leads with out a terminal blocks.

when i Install muili tap ballast. I like to cut
the unuse tap leads short to tidy up a rats
nest of wires for next person to trouble shoot
hid lighting.

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

The problem is with cutting leads short is you might just need them again one day. With choc block terminals all you have to do is undo screws.

...and they didn't even use high temp black wire nuts... .

A man has two lives to live, and the second one begins when he realizes he only has one.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.
