I picked up the last box of these at Home Depot, with intentions of using them in E26 plug adapters as night lights; their 50 lumens of 2200K light would be perfect in such an application. I'm honestly a little disappointed in that they have extremely noticeable 60hz flicker, the color is inconsisent across the diode's axis from blue to 2200K warm, warm white, etc but you get what you pay for. They'll work fine for their intended use. :)

They are also my first S14s. :)

Interesting. Haven't seen these at the Home Depots I've been here...but I also didn't look that closely at anything other than the mini/LED light strings.

One thing on the box would make avoid them: "non-dimmable"
...though if they have noticeable 60hz flicker like you say, that sounds like they're running on simple half-wave & probably just a resistor...which means they .would. be dimmable.

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

They would play nice with a regular TRIAC dimmer?
