I ended up being in the area of that surplus store again today and so I got one of the 700w Lifeguards. I only had enough cash on me to get one at the time, but I'm planning on going back and getting the other three. There's also a 4th one but unfortunately the end is smashed. Also, the other 3 are already going to some members and so they aren't going to be available. I'm planning on keeping one since I don't really have any super rare lamps in my collection. Now I just need to get a 700w MV fixture...

I've got a clear one, but I'd still like to find one of these someday.

You guys are pretty lucky by finding and owning such rare pieces Last year, I could get one of these Lifeguards when I visited some relatives of mine in the USA

Nice score!

If you have a 1000 watt MV ballast a capacitor change should be sufficient to run the lamp properly.... I don't know what you need to change it out to though...

Someday I hope to get a 700w or 1000w MV 327 and have it installed on a metal davit pole on my property. That's probably never going to happen though.
