This old brown model (I think the white ones are the more recent production batches) was still rather common during the 80s.

BGW existed until 1964.
Then the name was NARVA.
Narva produced similar fluorescent tube starters, the color of the starter housing changed to white and the glowbottle's design was not the same like the old BGW glowbottle starters.
