Pretty color.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

Possibly, and sometimes the bowls are yellowed too.

My camera changes a little the color to green, but maybe it's time to change bulb. Once I saw these with warm white LED bulbs.

That would be quite nice. These are nice lanterns, I'd love to see them go on with LED bulbs rather than be changed out.

I'd prefer they stayed with the original MV. Or possibly HPS. But not LED, please...

MV is not an option in Europe. The only way these will continue to shine is with a LED replacement like the NASC Olive-lamp.

Then I'd rather they were taken down. It is unacceptable to us to replace the lamps in such a lantern with LED.

A 70 W HPS version was available on request: https://web.archive.org/web/20030518163127/http://www.idman.fi/prodinfo.asp?groupid=339&languageid=FI

What is inside: https://www.lighting-gallery.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=5380&pos=0&pid=170309

This Nasc Olive looks like about same as Philips: https://www.inkclub.com/fi/fi/Hehkulamput/NASC-LED-soikea-Piha/p/7391316570909 I did not know this brand before.

Sometimes I still see new MV lamps installed.

We do sell NASC Olive lamps where i work, they are quite heavy and are built around a metal chassi. They do match a 80W MV lamp in performance but with much better color rendering. They are nice! I have sold quite a few, i think its always nice to help keep nice old lanterns alive rather than being replaced all together.

I made sure the information on there was complete and correct!

Yes, i do some times see new MV bulbs installed, but that is only if the care takers have old stock lying around. Usually on private properties. Most does not and they let the installations deteriorate, usually in the end replacing the installations with LED lanterns. One of my favorite installations with Järnkonst Minicompact's was recently replaced due to no new bulbs being availabe. I have got quite a few bulbs, they should have asked me for some!

The description of Nasc seems about same in Finnish and Swedish.

Some Thorn Minicompacts have LED corn bulbs. They working fine.

I have seen very similar almost identical lanterns to these here in Lithuania too, quiet frequently tbh. But I am 110% sure that those in my country were made by Polamp wilkasky in Poland.

New lighting technologies is a pity fest everywhere you look. From LEDs that last only for two months, to a never-ending global starvation of t8 fluorescent tubes.
We shall reinforce ourselves with good old full mercury t12s and HIDs made to surpass one's life, and give them all the middle finger ;
