I like the Westinghouse and Sylvania!

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

Cheers Cole! The OV15A is as rare as rocking horse s**t here in Australia. I had a mate of mine over yesterday and he brought his and we compared them. His was converted at some point from MV to HPS. The sylvania isn't so rare especially among the Aussie collectors, its usually the first one we get.

Awesome haul!

Gotta love the Westinghouse OV-15A! (The others are nice too!)

OEM HPS OV-15's are extremely rare in the states too.

I like the B2224’s, they’re quite a smart looking lantern. I guess the closest thing here is a Chicago crimefighter?

I never saw these in person because my area just uses floodlights but when I went lilydale area I saw twin fluros. There is an abandoned factory on the eastern freeway, if you are going northbound it is on the left, it is in Ringwood. There is no chance I'm uploading photos of it in the condition it is in. Paint is falling off, chokes are rusted, wires are cracked. I'll go clean it up in spare time and then upload it.

I'll let you now. I have a few tips with these. These daylites, 4 tube, are f**king heavy. 20 kilos at least. They have crap earthing from gear tray to the outside body, it is 180V difference at 200uA so not dangerous but is a bit concerning and will give you a tingle. My way to fix the earthing is to find a post in the casting, drill a hole, not all the way through, tap the hole to M4 M3... Then get a ring terminal and crimp it to some 1.5mm2 and then drill a hole in the gear tray and secure the other end of the wire with a ring terminal.

Yea I'm a fairly strong person as well but the daylite still feels heavy When I do restorations I replace what needs attention, new chokes unless I can't get replacements, like my B2229 for example it has an ATCO 90W SOX choke from 1984 photo is not mine as the label on mine is gone, see here. I may wind my own if I absolutely must.

I've seen your other pics. Have you ever picked up a StreetLED 42W? They are heavier than you think they'd be.

I think you have subbed to mine. I made a video of a B2222, B2224, Suburban, Optispec if that jogs your memory of watching them.
