The guy was kind enough to let me take a photo of the box itself. This is the original box for F30T12 tubes guys! Incredible! The guy asked for what purpose, I've said that I am contributing for a global cause. He asked what do I mean, and I said that I am a member of a virtual global lighting museum called Lighting Gallery. He was impressed and let me take a picture of the box. I've said that these tubes are incredibly rare and that I have to get some because there will not be a second chance at this. The guy was genuinely supportive and interested in my hobby.

Also, I really love how these tubes has the same endcaps like the really old Tungsram endcaps were back in mid 60s. These tubes actually be very well made by Tungsram in Hungary, but branded SELZ, but don't quote me on that.

Wow Nice package!

Thanks Luna!

New lighting technologies is a pity fest everywhere you look. From LEDs that last only for two months, to a never-ending global starvation of t8 fluorescent tubes.
We shall reinforce ourselves with good old full mercury t12s and HIDs made to surpass one's life, and give them all the middle finger ;

The guy had some soviet F30T8 tubes but I didn't take any, because they were made by SLZ and I have already plenty of them, maybe next time

Question to Pyte or Migette1: (or anyone else who knows this stuff in the question below)
I seek information that you might be able to share, I would really appreciate it, thank you!
Could any of you please tell me if Tungsram had any collaboration or association to soviet lamp manufacturing company SELZ? Because look at those endcaps - these tubes were made in 1966 by SELZ company in USSR, but those endcaps look exactly the same as vintage Tungsram tube endcaps from the same era. I don't think that it was a coincidence that two different located companies with no relation between them could have come up with exactly the same endcap design by the same time. I seek information exclusively on that - did soviet company SELZ had any association with Tungsram? I am DYING to know. Not only the endcaps look exactly the same way, but the cathode construction too. Migette1 and Pyte, please help me with this, You are the only two I know who collect vintage Tungsram tubes and now this stuff! Unless any of you out there know some information on this too, please, don't hesitate to share it with me, thank YOU!
