600W is quite a high wattage for Sweden, where was the SR200 in service?

They all came from Kristianstad. There the SR200 had a 250w bulb but i changed the bsllast to 600w. All Siemens/Siteco 250/400w lanterns has 600w as an extra option. This is because they are big enough to fit the bigger 600w ballast. I have seen the Siteco SC200 with 600w too

These SR lanterns I replaced in vast numbers because they are bad. The reflectors turns pitch black (those newer generations with aluminized plastic reflector) after a few years and the mounting spigot cracks, leaving them as a safety hazard. Also they get quite dirty inside if no care has been taken to the gasket.

We don't have that problem in Kristianstad ans we have lots of them. But the reflector problem did we have before we replaced all reflectors eith metal ones. The old ones were made of silver colored plastic

The very old ones were having aluminium reflector but badly suffer from exposing their fiberglass. It’s recommended to replace the bulbs when it’s raining because the fiber glass are not in the air and in the lungs!

The fiberglass is not only exposed on the SR, the ST, SL2000, Asea Trafimax and Philips SGS has the same problem. You need to wear gloves when you open these because the fiberglass is itchy

These SITECO SR seems to get dirty quickly in some regions where the climate is hot and dusty. In Scandinavia, all of SR and ST I have seen (mainly in Norway) stay in very good condition. I don't remember if they are all made of fiberglass or if some of theme are made of aluminium.

The AEG Koffer and other fixtures releases some fibers but the SR and SL are quite worse.
