Guys, so here's the thing. I have Too many tubes. But I cabn testify 2 & 4 footers, because I actually have a real use to them. But 5 footers? - none whatsoever, beside one fixture in my closet and four fixtures in my basement. Can you believe that I have 48 NOS 65 & 80 watt tubes? Here's a thing. My mom gave me a pretty good idea: If there are any of you who are in dear need of new 80 watt or 65 watt tubes, let me know and I could gift you some, but you will pay for the shipment. I have no money whatsoever, my broke student ass is crying right now, but I can gift some tubes if you want, because I don't need so much 5 footers. 80 watt ones are especially useless for me because I only have 1 ballast to run these tubes and no fixtures whatsoever. So PM me if you want some 80 or 65 watters. I'll be glad if I could find home home for these tubes where they would be appreciated and used as they intended - in a fixture, not just sitting in a pile waiting for better times.

I have 25 NOS Hungarian GE F65T12 Cool white and 9 NOS Tungsram F65T12 Daylight ones.

New lighting technologies is a pity fest everywhere you look. From LEDs that last only for two months, to a never-ending global starvation of t8 fluorescent tubes.
We shall reinforce ourselves with good old full mercury t12s and HIDs made to surpass one's life, and give them all the middle finger ;

I would love a couple of 5 footers, but I don't have the money right now.

Good quality things are awesome. Cheaply made things are not.

I don’t have any 5 footers either. I just have lots of 4 footers and some 1 foot T5s.

I don't think 5 footers are all that popular in US. (I assume that's where you live?) Anytime. I have many, and I will get much, much more 5 footers in the future. So, the stock will never run low

Yes I do live in the US. Five footers were quite popular in F40T8 over here. F58T8 is very rare over here though. No five foot T12s though.

It is amazing to see that you arrange your tubes in containers by different length. I have also had plans in my mind with my ones. I need to place all 6 different sizes between 1.5 - 5 footers.
It is amazing too that you keep Tungsrams in so great esteem as I collect Raznos and Lismas.

LED-lighting is pseudoscience.
LED-lighting is only a generated demand.
LED-lighting came to life simply by business interest.

I freakin' love tungsram tubes, especially t12. Probably because i just love the way the endcaps looks and the way brand name sounds. I cant get enough of them! Running a bit low on 2 footer tungsram, i have only three of them (f20t12) i really love them.

Very nice setup for lamp storage! I'd love to have something better than what I've got...I too could admit to having too many fluorescents they're just stuck on the top of shelving units & spots where I could find space.

5-foot & aren't real common here, stuff like 5-foot F40T8 & F58T8 were used in store refrigeration units, as were 6-foot F70T8. I have a case or so of each of those sizes (it should also be noted that a 4-foot version of the F40T8 also exists - but those were mostly plant or aquarium lights).
The only 5-foot T12's I have come across here are F60T12 high-output. I'd love to eventually find a couple of the 65w 5-footers!

OK. I decided that I don't need 40 Tungsram Daylight F40T12 and 40 Pila F40T12 tubes in my collection. And I also don't need the full case of Duro-test powertwist f36t10 fluorescent tubes. And I also don't need the 50 NOS soviet f40t12 tubes I have. If there are any who wants them, let me know.

Much better decision than throwing them on recycling center. It's no problem when you have 100s of Tungsram,Pila and USSR tubes.

You are absolutely right. Plus, if I want to get more tubes, I have to get rid of some common ones I have. What's the point in having 1000 tubes when you only use at most 10 of them at any given time? Also, mom thinks that I am 'hoarding' those tubes.. she always say to me: where will I put these tubes when you leave? I say that I won't leave. She says yeah right. If you want to get more tubes, get rid of some, make an auction on your gallery, do something she says. Not gonna lie, that a pretty genius idea.
