Here you see a Feit 8.8w LED filament bulb with a busted stem. This came with some new porch lights that were installed today.

While I agree feit lamps are questionable quality, "damaged in shipping" doesn't speak to quality.

While I agree feit lamps are questionable quality, "damaged in shipping" doesn't speak to quality.

I'm surprised that wasn't mentioned in another user pic of a Feit incandescent that had the same issue as this bulb. But with these bulbs, i had two of these drop-dead after 2000 hours, and a third one suffered visible lumen degradation after about 2500 hours.

Old lighting is, and will always be, the best lighting.

I have 4 of the 100w equivalent version , 1 still works perfectly . Of the other 3 , 1 is completely EOL, 1 is dead but occasionally flickers and the 3rd works but occasionally "cycles" like a HPS lamp !
I agree with Xytrell , shipping damage is unrelated to the quality.... Or lack thereof !

I have six of the 100w equivalent 5000K versions, and six of the 60w equivalent 5000K versions. One of the 100w equivalent ones is basically EOL as it just flickers dimly, and one of the 60w equivalent ones has a dead filament and flickers occasionally but it's barely noticeable.

All the rest still work, but three of the 60w equivalent ones are out of service, with one being brand new. They will used when needed.

Also would a broken stem affect lamp performance?

Good quality things are awesome. Cheaply made things are not.

It's Feit...should we expect more?

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.
