GE Ultra Start Normal Output T8 Ballast

GE Ultra Start Normal Output T8 Ballast

This is a normal output version of this. I bought a pair of them on eBay because where I'm using them, I don't really need those high output ballasts. These are programmed start, which is easier on lamps when frequently switched. They have a BF of .89.

This is the only electronic ballast I would actually recommend to
people if they want long bulb/ballast life/energy efficiency

Interests:
1. Motorcycles, cars, Women, and Lighting (especially fluorescent)
2. Weightlifting/staying extremely athletic
3. Severe Thunderstorms of all kinds
4. Food and drinks. So gimme them bbq ribs
Lighting has ALWAYS been a passion of mine. I consider everyone on here to be a friend

I can't recommend the GE T8 instant start ballasts at all! I had one go up in smoke, (owner caught it in time before it went up in flames!) Before it did that it was shutting off, and coming back on, and then she claimed when she turned it on, she could smell something burning...tracked it to that fixture, kept the lights off, and then called me! Then a few days later, a second one started turning on and off like the one I replaced did. I replaced that one BEFORE it did anything scary!

Linear fluorescent will never lose to LED!
I am not Anti-LED, as I have some in use at my house.

Case in point as to why electronic ballasts suck. lol the tubes in
some cases last longer than the ballasts!

Why the "normal" BF is 0.89 and not 1.0 ?
