Here I picked these up at Bed Bath & Beyond at The Avenune, East Cobb area, Marietta, GA, USA on Black Friday (2011-11-25).

The one with the green package is just a 3 Volts miniature bulb packaged in BT-12 shaped bulb with Candelabra Edison Screw (E12) base while the red one is the regular BT-12 bulb.

I would imagine that there may be customers who would complain that the bulb burn out too quickly

Pretty, please no more Chinese failure.

Hope the suspecting customer notices that the 3 volt version has an inner bulb or else if they getting them for their 120 volt fixtures

The ones in my Spuds Mackenzie were luckily not the 3 volt versions. It looks like these 7 watt BT-12 bulbs are more for decorative purposes than general light output. I may use the first bulbs from Spuds in a Christmas decoration this year

Philips DuraMax and GE Miser forever!  Classic incandescents are the best incandescents!
