It's the POS 3000, guaranteed to last at least 3000 hrs.

Bring SOX lamps back!!!

FYI, LED's are NOT the most efficient lighting technology available! Don't know how people keep coming to that conclusion!

My other interests: sports cars, refrigeration, microcontroller projects, computer hardware, and any sort of custom fabrication.

How'd you guess? Leds belong in flashlights, lcd screens, and refrigerators, not these cheap unreliable chinese fixtures that can't even best a spiral cfl in efficacy.

ive seen something similar over here in a building site admin area. they were installed mid last year, in the last month, they have been replaced with metal halide floodlights.

Bring back Fluorescent and SOX Streetlights. Keep magnetic ballasts.

@ detroit... "Does POS mean piece of s...?
" LOL!!!! you got it right brother.... PIECE OF S..H..*..T!! one too many power spikes or the occasional lightning strike on the line will kill this piece of junk.. I've seen it happen all too often the last 15 years with the solid state hybrid PE controls.. Time will tell and the poor bastards who got sucked into giving up the FOREVER long lasting magnetic ballasted floods and buying these "egg roll and rice" pieces of junk will be be cryin' in their tofu when they again have to fork out the bucks to replace this "thing"

So many things are made nowadays that claim to be "high efficiency", but in reality they are much more wasteful because they often fail way before their rated life is up. Now there is wasted material and added cost to replace the failed unit. Many household appliances are a perfect example of this. I may be young, but I care about quality and reliability, something that too many people just don't care about.

Pride and quality workmanship should lie behind manufacturing, not greed.

Yeah, I've got about $1500 worth of these in-ground pool light LED retrofits junked from a place I work. Some were water damaged, but three look like they just burned up the LEDs. Only one still works correctly only because the water damaged the power supply rectifier and stopped it from further destroying itself. That was an easy fix and it's up over my workbench now. The rest are scrap, although they have nice 40 VA torroid transformers and cooling fans. I don't understand how they are supposed to stay cool all sealed up inside an underwater enclosure. The pool people are going back to regular incandescent floodlamps.

@detroit.... LOL appliances are crap today... you bet! I still have a 25 yr old pair of Admiral washer/dryer I bought new ( for around 550.00) at Montgomery Ward back in the day of USA made appliances. The units have no fancy keypads, no led lcd crt screens , no touch screens, no electro- chips, no electronics of any kind... just BIG rotary dials and pushbuttons and I ROUTINELY overload them DOUBLE their capacity.... 25 years, only one timer for the dryer.... thats it.... and I can work on them like a 58 Chevy.... SOOOOOOOOOO many of my friends and family have been through the latest and greatest of the Chinka imports.... spending 5000.00 on a washer/dryer set that goes haywire just out of the warranty period is insane.... think LG electronics..... their commercials say "LG" Life's Good......my take... "LG" Lousy Garbage...

IMO LEDs should of stayed at little panel indicator bulbs / Lamps for Computers and stuff like that and nothing more

Time to ban the expensive, wasteful, LED garbage!

Nothing like the beautiful cool white light of a coated Mercury Vapor lamp and the soothing hum of it's magnetic ballast.

Take a look at my last photos. They are all shows new LEDs that replaced T8s in preheat battens or downlighters with PL-D or compact MH lamps at the Cinemall mall, and a new ice cream shop at Tel-Hanan center, Nesher have their lighting consist totally of LEDs.
I already predicting the following horrible scenario in the near future in Israel: Lamps, at it all forms, will be discontinued, and LEDs will be the standard form of lighting (The 3rd generation of lighting, as the electric lamps considered the 2nd generation of lighting, after the combustion based lighting).
Btw, I have encountered a newspaper ad for an oven, that have a LED LIGHTING in its cooking compartment . This despite the 180-240*C (356-464*F) inside the oven.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.
