i heard rumors these came from voltarc.
btw these must have a ton of mercury in them.
this one broke when it fell over onto the edge of a linear amplifier.
when i opened the unit to clean it up i found a tiny bead of mercury on one of the tubes.i am sure a 3-500z gets hot enough to vaporize it.
i checked because i didnt want a facefull of phosphor and glass particals when i fired it up.
the mercury was stuck to a very thin layer of dust on the tube.

The Nature Escent was their "economy" version of the Vita Lite. Basically the same color, minus the near UV spectral output.

i noticed a strong green spike in these.not a tint just better than normal green rendering.
would be nice to see the spd for these if you have it.
