Isn't this considered stealing. Several months ago, I asked the tutors of the Aspies hostel I live in, to collect two AEG Koffer 150 on a crushed lampposts, that were in a good state, but they refused because of the said reason that this is called stealing.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

I like to call it "requisitioning". I got some of my old fluorescents in a similar fashion from an abandoned cotton mill...Soon after, the building collapsed, so the way I look at it is I helped them with the clean up effort. I have gotten most of mine just by asking if I could take them down or trade out for them.

Preheat Fluorescents forever!
I love diesel engines, rural/farm life and vintage lighting!

Well, you are just rescuing a vintage light fixture! And at the end, I call that a great find btw! You know if the city gets a hold of it, its just going to go right into the trash pile. Rather see you rescue it, and bring it back to life!!

Love dresses, make-up and just crazy about fluorescent lighting!!  Keep those T12's and magnetic ballasts alive!!

I've taken at least four downed streetlights from the side of the road in my area, 3 were only good for parts (Sylvania Roadsters) but the fourth just needs a new lens (Sylvania B2229 Mk1). I figure if I don't, they just get thrown away anyway. Recycling at it's best.

Traffic signals & street lighting engineer. Please bring SOX/LPS back Downunder!!

Very nice score, I call it the abandon if nothing hooked up.

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.
