This exactly.
I could see incandescents in a couple common sizes (40w & 60w for example) being imported from China or wherever still has manufacturing plants, for the small nitch market that still wants them. The key here is *imported*, not manufactured in the US.
Fluorescent on the other hand (banned or not) I don't see manufacture or import lasting much longer.

The biggest issue I see is that a lot of this now "banned" stuff didn't sell worth a crap near the end anyways ! My local Home Repo had incandescent and CFL lamps which were literally covered with so much dust you had to wipe off the top of the box to read them !  With the big push of integrated LED fixtures I'm even seeing a lot of standard LED lamps either in the bargin bin or covered with a ton of dust .

NO manufacturer is gonna revive something that either sold slowly or just plain didn't sell before .

High flow shower heads were "unbanned" , try to find one a the local home center ! All I saw is the 2.5 GPM and lower versions .

/DX definitely ! I noticed that clear attracts a zillion more bugs than /DX . Since the light in question is by a door , that might be a bad thing !

Also , I donated a clear 175w to the neighbor for his lard light and he HATED it !! Didn't like the bluish color one bit !

I once had some F96T8 HO tubes (something none of the local hardware stores ever carried) shipped to me, and thankfully they arrived intact.

I have 2 extra NOS ITT 250w H37-5KC/W mercury lamps I would like to trade for either /WDX, or /N or /C lamps. or thickly phosphored /DX 250 watt or lower.   These appear to be manufactured for ITT by Sylvania.
 10   Advertisements / Wanted / Need 80s-90s style wood trimmed strip light ...  on: February 13, 2026, 07:33:05 PM

My father is intending on redoing a part of the kitchen to use as a bar area. the ceiling is too short to put pendant lights so he wants a strip of some sort. he does not want the hyper modern strip lights as it will not fit the house at all...  he needs a wood trimmed light such as the LED Cambridge Linear by Lithonia Lighting However it is sadly only available in 4000K. which seems too harsh for a bar area. I was looking at the Lithonia 11430RE OA Which I could swap warm white fluorescent tubes into, or warm white LED tubes.... but it is seemingly discontinued. If anyone knows of one of these for sales somewhere or has one. that would be greatly appreciated. Alternatively... if anyone knows of a similar light, either in fluorescent or LED, that is made by a reputable brand and wont fail in the near future. that would also be nice. it needs to be the two tube type as the ceiling in that area will not accommodate a super wide fixture. 4 tube fixture will not fit. the lithonia fixtures mentioned are the right size.

Alternatively again... The majority of the light fixtures in the house are the "black bronze" type... So a strip light fixture that executes that look well and fits into a 90s era house would also be acceptable... Fluorescent or LED. Sadly cannot cram a half piper up there both due to styling constraints and space constraints . If it was my house I would be a little more free with the styling but... it ain't.
