Germany and Energy Saving lamps « on: July 25, 2009, 11:21:55 AM » Author: lightman64
Found this cool video about how German companies are adapting to make CFL's and sadly phasing out regular bulbs.

The future of street lighting is Induction, not nasty HPS lights or cr@ppy LED lights!
Preheat CFL's should make a comeback!

Yeah, energy saving lamps.. this is theme I don´t like. How the engineer said, the problem is that the bad light colour is still there. Maybe this lamps are going better and  brighter, but I won´t use them for my self and it´s of course the incandescence bulbs buisness is already dead.
But for is it nice to see where the inventing and advancement comes from.

I wish the video title would be true... Are there any CFLs which aren't made in China today? ;D

Yes, those "technically looking", like Philips PL-E series (classic 4 tube "sticks"), declared as for "commercial use", but they are simply not cheap and not as decorative like e.g. spirals or globes.
