It was better/cheaper to use an electronic ballast instead of this

M47 is 1000 watt Metal Halide. Nothing to do with halogen. Metal halides need a specific ballast to work properly. Any ballast marked "1000 watt M47 Metal Halide lamp" will work. If the lamps are still new, and you are looking to get rid of them, I might be interested as long as the shipping doesen't end up being too pricy.

Vegetarian due to religious reasons. Still eat eggs and drink milk.

Today I just finished making a spreadsheet for my lamps. For halogen and incandescents, I don't know wattage, shape or base specifications so it will be horribly wrong.

I've been a vegetarian for about 10 years now. Have been a vegan during that time for a couple of years when i lived alone, but currently not in a position to do that.

It may work for T8, where the 230V is not enough to ignite the discharge even with hot electrodes, so it may quench the arc, as well as restrike it on demand.
I think it was doomed to failure from the getgo: Because at the time when the technology allows to integrate the wireless protocol into a starter body the magnetic ballasts fell out of use, so the only use was with upgrading existing installations. Not that much of market to justify the rather costly development.
This video seems to me just as a teaser, sensing whether it does make any commercial sense to actually develop such thing. And the result clearly was it does not, as we have not seen any such product...

I think they are too cheap to have separate printing heads for every warning, so they use one common for all. It shows they care only about covering their a$$es, but don't care about customer safety at all...
