First thing to try is to add a mains filter to your speakers' power supply. Something like this: https://elektrodump.nl/nl/lichtnetfilters/2442-lichtnet-rfi-filter-4a-250vac.html
This one is meant to build into a device. There are smaller ones too, just make sure they at least have a capacitor-coil-capacitor layout.
Make sure to hook the filter up to a grounded outlet, and if your speakers have it, to connect their ground too.
This will suppress the RF pulses that the various inductive loads create.

Before the filter, you want to put a surge protector. This is to short out any high voltage spikes that may be present on your mains, to extend the life time of the filter. They don't last forever.

I'm assuming active speakers with built in amplifiers here, not standard speakers with a separate amplifier.

In general, if literally all lights and the fridge do it, the issue is your speakers being too sensitive. But it's a fact of life that glowbottle starters and inductive ballasts puke out a ton of spikes and RF when starting. That's why many countries have strict RFI rules. If you have a ham radio operator nearby, you can ask them for help - they typically have a lot of experience with RFI suppression.

You also want to verify that the suppression capacitors in your lamps' starters are still in good condition, or that they're even just there.

Thanks for the answers. Apparently, all of my other fluorescent lights make that too.

But now, I came across another interference thing. I recently installed some speakers to my room, and they run on AC power. Basically ALL of my fluorescent lights, INCLUDING the ceiling light, cause interference to the speakers and it can be heard as loud pops. Can that be reduced somehow? Also, once my fridge turns on, a small pop can be heard too.

Use the feature if you like it, don't use it if you don't.  But let's not go back and rehash every past deletion.  Now with this feature, you'll be able to know when a member finds your comments problematic, and you don't have to waste your time posting on their stuff only to have them remove your comments after the fact.  I wish such functionality wasn't necessary, but given that folks can't seem to get along or agree what kinds of comments are and are not appropriate, hopefully this will help.  The topic is now locked.  You may bring further concerns to me personally.

I extend the same offer to you as I did to FSB. PM or phone, as you prefer. You can even call for free on 0800 612 8872, I don't mind people knowing the number, as long as they don't abuse it (no calls from overseas and also it doesn't accept withheld numbers). But this thread has run its course.

Dez, quite apart from anything else on this thread, you should be aware that the rules have always stated that you should not discuss banned or suspended members.

Whatever you or anyone else may think of me, Dor's case is nothing to do with this, please take note.

sorry that is my bad I acknowledge that that is a rule it is just that it is something that does gall on me quite a bit, it feels like quite a bit of disregard was given towards the mental health of a follow user, imagine you yourself woke up one morning to find yourself completely banned from LG, that would not be nice would it, now imagine if LG was your only outlet, keep in mind Dor does not have any other outlet to express himself from, theres only one other lighting collector in Israel, and I just wanted to make that point, put it out there for people to think about.

but that aside, it would be nice if you would please kindly respond to the rest of my post in proper form, rather then latching onto one specific thing to skirt the issue at large

Out of hand? This new feature was introduced for the sole reason because you have a grudge against me and want all my comments nuked lol.
I mean why else would a comment directing to where people can buy a nice example of a clear mercury lamp be deleted?

Because this thread is already getting out of hand. You want to talk to me privately, fine. But I don't intend derailing this thread any more than it already is. Your choice. I'll even give you an 0800 freephone number if you want. But I'm saying no more here.

Why not here? People can see them already. I'd like to know what was so offensive about them?
You are obviously going to add me to the block list, for having an opinion it seems! That wasn't even voiced in a nasty or directed way!
Heck, I even tried linking to a retailer that was selling nice examples of a clear Iwasaki mercury lamp that you posted which is useful to the community, no? Yet those were nuked too!

No, I am not going to answer you here, but I will be pleased to discuss things in a PM, or even a phone call if you prefer. Let me know.

Are you even going to answer my question? I was told by the site admin to try and get along with you, which I was doing only to have it thrown back in my face.
As a site moderator shouldn't you really be setting a good example and not carrying a grudge against me just because I once dared to state an opinion which was not even aimed at anybody personally? If anybody has blown this whole thing out of proportion, it's you!
