But no bulbs for them.

I just ordered a case of eight F96PG17/Ds. They are expected to arrive Thursday! NOT cheap, but they will go perfect in the four 2x215 fixtures I have in my shop shed.

This is sad news indeed. I guess I should've ordered a case of F90's when they were still in production.

I wonder if we will see a T12-based F90/F40IS replacement...? Production of these should be possible using the still-operational T12 equipment.

I don't think there's enough demand, but they sure did disappear quickly after GE stopped production. Maybe that means there are still people out there who need them besides the people here on L-G.

I think there is a bulb manufacturer in Germany that still makes T17 fluorescent bulbs.
The F54T17s (super blue).
I don't know if they are making the F90T17s or not.
But they are both the same diameter and have the same ends.
The F90T17 is just a little longer than the F54T17s and of course CW.

BTW the government still has a stockpile of F90T17s.
I would guess that they will be sold as surplus at some point and show up on ebay now that they are discontinued by GE.

I should have stocked up on F90T17s early.
Oh well.

Would've been nice to get a "heads-up" from GE that they were stopping production. At least 6 months notice would have allowed collectors to buy lots of lamps.

I am always on the lookout for T17 fixtures and bulbs for LG members.
I expect to start seeing F90T17 fixtures showing up on E bay since there are no more bulbs made for them.
