some equipment have a watt and VA rating  the VA  is the "aperient" load and watts is the "actual" load
to understand power factor
AC power goes from zero volts up to the peak voltage and back down to zero in a smooth arc and a resistor across that would have the current it takes rise with the voltage and drop again in step with the voltage that is "unity" or 100 power factor
but a discharge lamp might for example start the discharge arc at 1/2 of the voltage rise and immediately start taking full power draw and at half the voltage will double the power drawn and that is what causes the "load" on the infrastructure

grade 12 in highschool a cat decided to climb the power pole and got across the top HV line and the secondary of one of the phases causing a massive spike in voltage on one of the phases before the transformer exploded and 1/3 of the lights ballasts blew up some with a load bang
and the schools boiler pump was cooked so we had NO heat and 1/3 of the lights out for a few weeks as they got everything sorted including replacing loads of ballasts and tubes 1/3 of a schools worth with an enrollment of about 900 students

mid 2000's the garage I worked in was lite with F40 t12 floros and mostly GE value line chokes from the 80's and they liked to fail leaking out the tar in them and letting the magic smoke out sometimes - we had a bucket truck I used to change them

have seen the poles on carts to prevent the cart from leaving out the front doors as the pipe was to high

it is not as simple as 100W driver = 100 watt LEDS
the driver CAN drive up to 100 watts yes but the LED panel itself is going to dictate the MAX output power it can take in
the driver is a constant current driver and will drive a constant MA and the voltage will rise / lower to reach that milli amp output and the number of leds in series OR parallels will determine the voltage to drive the Milli amps the drivers have a set output milli amps and that is adjustable

I don't generally associate the brand Philips with the food industry

Perhaps they mean the use of heat lamps to keep food hot in café display cabinets or something similar..?

Very interesting read! I've been trying to find out more info on the SimpleSet drivers they make. Specifically if there was a way to change the output percentage (I have a 20w LED with a 100w driver, so it is dimmed down 80%).

To you knowledge, is it possible to change the preset output without getting all that expensive interface equipment? Such as using the MultiOne mobile app?

Those panels will still work somehow. Looks like when they knocked out two panels, the ones in the background started flickering. This means common driver.

Yeesh, a set of brake pads is like 35 euro at worst for a suzuki, and takes 15 minutes to swap if stuff isn't rotted in place. Even when you gotta do a complete overhaul (been there, done that... twice) you'll need those pads anyway.

Replace them. You now only have one brake. If for some reason that one fails unexpectedly, you'll have zero brakes. Riding a motorcycle is dangerous enough as it is, it's inconceivable to me how anyone could ride for a long time with a non functional safety critical device. This is exactly the sort of stuff that pushes governments towards mandatory safety checks for vehicles...

I know the front delivers most of the brake force, but the rear's not just for slowing down - it's also for stability.

What my day was like:
I spent 5 hours riding around the polders of Noord Holland. Since the big national medium wave transmitters have started to close down, space opened up for low and medium power AM transmitters. Once every so often i track one down. Get a bearing with a portable radio with ferrite antenna, mark on map. Ride a bit more. Get another bearing, see where lines on map intersect. Go to that point, get another few bearings around that area.

Took me several hours, i got bamboozled by a ham radio operator's antenna system which was a kilometer or so apart from the little AM broadcast station. Almost called it quits at the ham's setup, but i noticed that my portable radio wasn't being overloaded by strong local signals, so concluded that couldn't be it. Eventually i ended up in a residential neigborhood, and there i saw a basic wire antenna in someone's backyard. That was the one!

Speaking of brakes, my motorcycle has no rear brake as of now. The brake pads are completely gone and it's been this way for a very long time.
Literally every part of the rear brake will be replaced soon though. Until then, I usually rely on engine braking, and I stay OFF the highway, at all costs.
As for drilling, I've completely given up, and I've got help on the way for my situation. Someone is going to be working on my sportcar. Very interesting
mechanic. I'll type more about this once/if it's completed successfully.

@Wide-lite 1000, yep, those cart pipes were vertical. They almost reached the ceiling. Definitely did help though... I always knew where those carts were. lol
