Quite a lot of AEG Koffer 150's, and the rest just about anything
-
Near my hostel and the neighborhood: Philips Triangel 150W HPS and AEG Koffer 100 (Most of them are out of service), with 100W HPS lamps.
Rest of Kiryat Ata: AEG Koffer 150, several Gerchi Lumada/Lumadina, Schreder Sepale and Saphir 2, AEG Koffer 250, several Philips Stradasole 530 and Ludec Se'lux.
In Haifa: AEG Koffer 70, 150 (Both generations), 250 (One Koffer 100 was identified near Leon-Bloom st., Seilkoffer 250 and few 150, Stradalux 470, Stradasole 400 and 530, Thorn Pilote 1 and 2 and Siemens SL100 (In Yefe Nof promenade). In the past, there were two AEG Seilkoffer 70 with mercury lamps in one street and even two original AEG first Koffer lantern (Grosster Koffer) in Yefe Nof promenade, that were replaced by two Koffer 250 with two 150W HPS lamps.
American lanterns in Haifa (All of them are much less common than the German lanterns): GE M400A2 both regular and FCO, Cooper OVY, GE M400A/R FCO current generation.
Out of the streets, i saw also Hubbel RMG and Cooper OVX.
-
There are no lights in our coul de sac but Therese's Cooper OVZ on the main drag :hps:
-
RI has a good variety of street lights here.
We currently use;
-drop lens GE M-250R2 for 50, 100, and 250w HPS
-Drop lens GE M-400 for 400w HPS
Other common lights that used to be installed;
-Cooper OVZ (HPS)
-GE M-400R2 (HPS)
-GE M-250R (mostly MV)
-1980's-90's AE 113 (mostly HPS; few MV)
-80's GE M-250A2 FCO (100w MV)
-1980's-90's AE 125 (250 and 400w HPS)
-1970's GE M-400 split door (HPS)
-1992-present GE M-250R2 (HPS)

There are a few types of light fixtures (All HPS) that are currently used in Worcester MA (formerly serviced by National Grid, now owned by the city, serviced by Wilmington Wire since 2010).
The most common fixture currently, by far, is the GE M250R2 (50-250 watt) and has been a common sight since the HPS conversion of the late 80’s - early 90’s
However, along every main road etc.. (from early to mid 2000’s) the Cooper OVZ (50-250 watt) fixtures have shown a good presence as the fixture of choice of National Grid, scattered among the masses of GE250R2’s. National Grid had switched from the GE M250R2 to the Cooper OVZ and back to the GE M250R2 a few times during this time period until Wilmington Wire took over maintenance in 2010.
Wilmington Wire uses the Cooper OVX (250-400 watt) fixture as their choice of new replacement fixtures and re-uses any older fixtures in Worcester’s current inventory.
The other fixtures that Worcester has currently in their inventory is listed below:
GE M400R3 (400 watt; used since 1998 to present)
Cooper OVZ (50-250 watt; used since early 2000’s)
Cooper “post top” lights (50 watt; that replaced the last of the old green poles in 1993-94)
Cooper OVX (250-400 watt; gaining a presence here and there since 2010)
Thomas & Betts Model 115 (35-150 watt; showing up slowly since 2010)
King Luminare (black “antique” fixtures installed in downtown areas, 2005- present)
Some HPS fixtures that are also in inventory but are much less common now and are fading fast from the roadway (due to attrition) are these fixtures:
Cooper OVS (50-250 watt; installed from 1990-91)
Thomas & Betts Model 113 (50-250 watt; installed from mid to late 80’s,
Thomas & Betts Model 25 (250-400 watt; installed from the mid 70’s to 1987)
Thomas & Betts Model 125 (250-400 watt; installed from 1988 to late 90’s)
GE M400R2 (250-400 watt; installed heavily from 1988 until the late 90’s)
GE M400A (250-400 watt; installed from early 70’s to 1988)
GE M250A2 (50-150 watt; boxy powerdoor installed early-mid 80’s)
GE M250R1 (50-150; installed late 70’s-early 80’s)
Some of the rarest are the FCO fixtures that were installed from the early-late 80’s. A lot of them had their flat glass swapped out in favor of globes (refractors) like current fixtures. No FCO's installed thru pressure of residents wanting more city lights to cover their private properties. I prefer the FCO’s optics over the fixtures with globes. This is one reason (out of many) that the Worcester sky shines bright orange at night.

Hmm. Well, technically those city STREET lights are meant to light city STREETS and not private property. >:( Those residents need to stop being whinning babies. ::)
-
Like, if they want light on their garden they can install a light of their own
If the city swaps the optics to FCO and the lamps to 1 step lower power each, then reduces the taxes by the amount of power saved, it'll pay for the residents. And they could be convinced to install floodlights of their own in they property, for use when they actually need them, of just a 9W PL meltlight for full night instead of spills from 250W HPS streetlight
-
I moved to different area now.All lights are nema lights including:
ITT NEMAS
GE SA201s
Thomas and Betts Dusk till dawners(Circa 1960s)
There are :a_son-e: :a_mh: :a_sbmv: nemas in the area,mostly :a_sbmv: nemas.
-
Cooper Verdeon, LED Roadway Lighting NXT and Leotek GCL's (all LED). There used to be mostly Cooper OVH, Cooper OVF, AE 115 FCO and AE 125 FCO (mostly high pressure sodium but some metal halide).
-
My neighborhood has new 150w hps streetlights but my old one had either 70w or 100w hps post tops.
-
You don't really want to know what's in this area, suffice to say it is the only form of lighting I detest :curse:
We used to have 70W post tops, until a couple of weeks ago when they were stolen away in the night and replaced with :curse: :curse: :curse: >:(

Honestly your neighborhood would be better with no lights then the utter :curse: of L*ds!

Couldn't agree more :-\
-
There aren't any roadway lights in my neighborhood, the only streetlights are the ones people rent for their yards. Which are mostly Evluma Areamax LED lights and Cooper RMA NEMA heads with HPS. There is still one MV NEMA head left that's still used. Also a few unused Cooper RMA and GE 201SA NEMA lights that people no longer pay for. Some houses on my street have HPS floods though which are privately owned, which is cool. Plus some houses have MV or MH yardblasters, and GE post top lights with MV.
-
GE M250R2, GE M250A2, GE 201SA, Affinity S900D series, AEL ATBS, AEL ATBX, AEL 113 and AEL 115.
-
Allot of the neighborhoods around here have these (http://lighting-gallery.net/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-52340) or something similar. All are 100w HPS.
-
The road near the house I live and the whole upper part of the neighboring are lit by Philips Luma Mini 19W 3000K LED street lights which I installed some years back on 6m tapered steel poles.
The street light next to my holiday house is my wooden power pole with incandescent street light lantern on it and the next utility owned pole down the road has a Schreder Saphire 1 with HPS 70W bulb in it.
-
My street has two GE Evolve ERL1's that replaced 150w Cooper OVZ's in 2016. The rest of my neighborhood is the same way.
-
My neighborhood has GE M-250R2 fixtures that are 70w HPS. All are FCO and on concrete poles. Mostly all of the lights are the same, but one is 50w instead of 70w for some reason.
-
What lanterns do you see in your neighborhood? If you want to tell, post below. The lights below you see in neighborhoods.

AE 115
Other NEMA lights
mainly AEL 115 250 HPS. But there are some GE M400s.
-
I've got HPS lamps in my neighborhood, I'm not sure what model or wattage but they are the common black shoebox fixtures. Oddly like two of them are metal halide but in the same fixture style.
-
4000K GE ERL1
-
Unfortunately none, all the powerlines are underground on my street.
So are mine but we have streetlights. They are AEL colonial style lights. Here is one of them.(http://)

I take that back... :'( :'(
My neighborhood now has GE ERS1 LEDs in 4000K. They are ugly, dim, and overall disgusting. The HPS was replaced so quickly that I could not save any from my street.
-
The neighborhoods that I have lived in are still lit by HPS lanterns. They are mostly GE M250R2 lanterns with 70w, 100w, and 150w HPS lamps designed for the US market. I also know of some Crouse Hinds L150 lanterns sporting US 100w HPS bulbs too.

Loads of top entry Thorn Beta 5s, with 35watt SOX (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=george+vi+avenue+middlewich&hl=en&ll=53.181504,-2.442505&spn=0.007497,0.021136&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=15.163673,43.286133&z=16&layer=c&cbll=53.181605,-2.442576&panoid=gPyf-b5Yx4YrUxVjt3PB2w&cbp=13,9.64,,1,1.87)
Yes, like HPS_250, as an update, starting in December 2017, it took Cheshire East Council just 3 months to completely remove every single one of our SOX, (along with their original concrete columns), from our whole town!
I have to admit, it was a pretty impressive feat for the handful of guys they had doing it, (one bucket truck, one column truck, and a service van)!!
However, I was happy with their choice of lanterns, Philips Mk I Uni-Street’s, not cheap nasty glare bombs that other councils seem to be installing in other places!, quality and style that you expect from Philips!
I for one am glad to see our streets in white again, ( like the good old MV days ) I remember in the 70s!
I’ve even got a Uni-Street as my yard light at the back of my house!

Did the council throw away privately owned SOX lanterns?
-
They did leave 2 on the side of our community centre, but I haven’t seen these work for a couple of years now??, don’t know if the community centre turned them off, or they have been disconnected?, but no they didn’t scrap private ones.
-
Evluma AreaMax
GE M-400A (3)
GE M-400A1
Hubbell RLC-400

Did the council throw away privately owned SOX lanterns?
How could they throw away lanterns that don't belong to them..? If they're on private property then they're nothing to do with the council or anybody else.

Yeah it was a good mix of streetlights. My area adopted HPS early on during the late 1970s so there was a lot of vintage lights back then. Unfortunately we converted to LED between 2014-2015 which killed off a lot of HPS streetlights. Of the ones that survived, I think the newer lights like the AELs, the OV25s and some of the Powerlites.
