Duro Test Lamp Specs « on: June 30, 2011, 09:21:08 PM » Author: nogden
I just found these lamps on eBay but I don't quite believe the specs. They state that at 120 volts, the lamp draws 140 watts, lasts 15400 hours, and gives 1530 lumen. Isn't that a stretch? The last 150 watt 130 volt Sylvanias I bought only last 1875 hours and give 1725 lumen. I realize that the Duro Test lamps are rated for 125 volt versus the 130 volt Sylvanias, and the Sylvanias are still a little brighter, but is that enough to make the Duro Test lamps last eight times longer than the Sylvanias I purchased? If so, I will buy a few Duro Tests.

I bought a few of these too. They are 9000 hour corridor frost bulbs. I think they are 125v, so that's why you get the 140w and 15,000 hour rating at 120v. Duro-Test bulbs are quite good, so I wouldn't be surprised if they lasted longer than 15,000 hours. Thy are dim, as bright as a standard 90w bulb tho.
