Circle F nightlight? « on: October 09, 2020, 03:26:57 AM » Author: programmedstart277
When my grandmother passed away years ago my parents inherited some of her belongings, including a nightlight which was no more than the typical el cheapo 4-watt incandescent nightlight you can pick up at the dollar store. However this particular nightlight had a rotating on/off switch at the bottom of a cylindrical base and a plastic trapezoid shade that covered the bulb. As I recall it had no more than a wattage rating, I don't even think it had the UL stamp. As I recall it also said "Circle F" which I believe was a company that made wiring devices back in the day. I've been looking all over my parents' house for this nightlight but I think they accidentally threw it out a few years back. I remember my grandmother having it in her house when I was a kid and the house was built in the mid-1980s so I imagine it was from that time. Even tried searching the Internet to no avail, sadly I don't have any pictures of the nightlight although I remember exactly how it looked and I never saw one like it elsewhere. Any information would be appreciated! (I can try and draw a picture if my description isn't detailed enough.)

I have not seen any branded Circle F, but GE used to make similar night lights that had the GE logo on the switch part. White trapezoidal shade with a black base.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

I almost forgot, I made another account on this site years back and posted this question under the username programmedstart277. Not that anyone will ever see this because it's from so long ago and only one other user replied, but I just happened to find this exact nightlight on Parrot's youtube channel:

https://youtu.be/Ln55rbMkdQ8?si=jQGcgZJgYH2FxQne

It apparently was made by Circle F for Sylvania. Unfortunately I still haven't find mine but if anyone sees this do you know where I could find one? Ever since coming across this video I've checked Google but haven't had any luck, then again an item like this seems extremely rare since it took me long enough to find this video (and even then it was on complete accident lol).

Also, I have no idea how to delete my old account  as I said I completely forgot I made it, and I think it's linked to my old (now defunct) email so I can't simply reset my password. Any help there would be much appreciated too!
