Running a F30T8 Duro Test preheat on rapid start...

It takes a little aid to start these lamps!! I have 2 wires attached to one end, and tap a Gel 12 volt battery to the other end of the wires. If you tap it fast, the bulb blinks like a preheat till it runs. If you hold it a fraction longer it comes on fine. Once off you have to repeat to start.....I have a case of these. I have a solid state ballast to place in the fixture, but it's been fun using it to kill EOL lamps!

Bloody brilliant, I do this with a Chinese Crompton lamp on one end of the fixture and the victim on the other
