I originally wasn't going to be "that guy" and bring this up, but it's gotten to the point where I'm not visiting LG anymore because of it, and in my eyes that's a concern worth raising.

For the past few weeks we've had a member who has literally taken over the forums. As of writing this, the most popular sections of the forums have their name as the last poster across as many as four entire pages of threads. For a while they were posting upwards of 50 times a day. In addition, they are replying to extremely old threads - threads that closed as long as 10 years ago.

Don't get me wrong - I LOVE having intelligent discussion with people in the forums here. And what this person posts is by far acceptable. It's the circumstances under which they're posting that bothers me. I used to be quite active on the forums, but I'm not even visiting the site at all anymore because I can't be bothered to weed through pages and pages of their responses and threads that died years ago to find relevant material to read.

Does anyone else feel this way, or am I in the wrong here?

Yeah, it pretty much stopped the day I posted this, which I'm glad for. I assume they've seen this - I just hope I haven't offended them or made them feel bad. I went this route instead of personal messaging them because I didn't want to seem like I was personally/directly attacking them. But necroposting is no good on any forum (and usually results in administrative action on most forums), so I'm glad it's toned down. I haven't gathered up the will to start reading the forums again yet, but the act of getting this off my chest alone made me feel better enough to start participating in the gallery again.
