I am curious if there are any US lighting gallery enthusiasts besides me and Silverliner that lit up any European HID lamps that they own in their collections.

Yes I have lit bunch of hid lamps from EU.  Lot of it runs fine on MH gear in the US as it was base off EU specfication for there lamps to begin with.  But I have been experenting with Fluorescent from UK/EU

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

I am considering making a mercury vapor fixture that uses a B22d-3 lampholder and a US mercury vapor ballast so that it can accept the older British mercury vapor bulbs that have B22d-3 bases. I would use a Venture V90D8812 M150 125w PSMH ballast with the ignitor disconnected to run 125w mercury lamps and I would use a H38 ballast to run the 80w lamps.

100 watt MH ballast runs them perfectly.  But I already own a real deal Advance 125 watt ballast to run those mercury.  It look like 100 watt MV ballast next higher value cap.  These run at about 930 mA.
