You are? That's neat! Do you have any idea why a old Briggs and Stratton 3.5 HP engine that I've got just stars and then stops again? I've checked the flywheel key.

probably dirt in the carburetor. if you know how to pull apart a carburetor then take it apart and clean it out. just be sure not to mess with any adjustment screws!

I am learning new things, and I found that there was no dirt in the Pulsa-Jet carburetor. I messed with the adjustment screw and found that a richer mixture fixed it. And I did learn how to clean a float carburetor, as I cleaned both of my brother's non running mower's carburetors and got them running. Just wondered, what engines do you have? And have you ever worked on a Pulsa-Jet carburetor?

I have a Briggs & Stratton 300 series engine. I work on all kinds of carburetors.I mainly work with fuel injection now.

fuel injection are mainly for cars and trucks. But carburetors are mainly for small engines now.
