Semi-parallel vs impulse ignitors « on: November 26, 2021, 04:59:46 PM » Author: WorldwideHIDCollectorUSA
After I have been commenting on a picture of a European market GE 400w probe start metal halide lamp, I was told that when describing 3 wire ignitors that require ballasts with a special ignitor tap, I have been told that the term “semi-parallel” for those ignitors is an incorrect term and was told that the correct term for them is “impulse” ignitors.

Is there any difference between “semi-parallel” and “impulse” ignitors?
