After looking at trying to acquire some FUL CFL lamps for my collection, I noticed that most of them are BL lamps intended for use in insect killer fixtures. Why is it that the FUL CFL lamps are more popular in insect killer fixtures than other types of CFL lamps?

Lot of those lamps were popular in 90s and 2000s They were commonly  use in LOA jelly jar type of thing  With plastic defuser.  I see these around apartment complexes   Mostly .  But normal  CFL killed them off as it was cheaper to  Buy new fixture and a 3 dollar CFL than to replace the FUL lamps.

In some cases, some FUL fixtures are able to be easily retrofitted with modern Japanese FPL CFL lamps due to the fact that Japanese FPL lamps and FUL lamps share both have  G10Q bases found on circline fluorescent lamps.
