I have seen some listings for some 1000w H36 mercury vapor HX autotransformer ballasts on GE’s I-Line ballast compatibility chart and they are listed as conventional/unregulated.
According to that Brochure, there are some 1000w H36 mercury vapor HX autotransformer ballasts designed for 120v 60hz mains. Here is a list of part numbers for those ballasts:
GE 9T65Y2250 120v 1000w H36 Lag
Jefferson Electric 232-1366 120v/240v/277v 1000w H36 Conventional, nonregulated
Jefferson Electric 232-2366 120v/240v/277v 2 lamp 1000w H36 Conventional, nonregulated
Jefferson Electric 233-1366 120v/240v/277v 1000w H36 Conventional, nonregulated
You can see the brochure with these ballast listing here:

Due to the rarity of such lamps and ballasts, 1000w H34 mercury vapor lamps, ballasts and fixtures designed for 120v 60hz mains are things that I really desire to have in my collection.
