If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it HID Fixtures should stay HID, but I think LED is fine too. Any new photos are taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35! Local power is 120/240VAC 60Hz, TV is NTSC 480i 59.94, DTV is ATSC 1.0 and simulcast ATSC 3.0. -Using Lighting-Gallery since 2022-

HID, LPS, and preheat fluorescents forever!!!!!!

You can easily find HID lamps, ballasts, and fixtures if you search eBay and ReStores. You can find HID lighting for dirt cheap prices at ReStores!!! You could also try flea markets too.

Yeah, I went to the ReStore here, and there were None. The only lighting related stuff they had were LED bulbs for $1.00 each. The other thrift stores I went to had some pretty interesting light bulbs, but I didn't find any HID bulbs.
I will continue on my search, but will probably end up getting them at Fleabay for a ridiculous price.

A lot of ReStores won't accept donations of Hg containing lamps.

I asked about HID lamps/fixtures , etc. and was told "we're not allowed to accept anything containing mercury under any circumstances because if it doesn't sell , we'll have to pay to properly dispose of it "

That's a shame! The ones here get mostly LEDs donated now but every once in a while HID and fluorescent stuff will show up for sale so they must still take them. I blame the bad apples that donate spent MH lamps to Restore, which inevitably will never sell.
To OP, you could try searching on Facebook, OfferUp, and Craigslist too. Here's some stuff I found within a 50 mile radius of Chapel Hill, NC: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/551380479919193 - AEL 113 200w HPS https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/998726494376080 - high bays, apparently some have LEDs so ask the seller some questions first, Greensboro, NC https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/681287106412573 - post top, Sanford, NC https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/681935062882654 - post top, Durham, NC https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/5168022003252690 - 1500w metal halide floods, Raleigh, NC

The problem with my ReStores is that they seem to love to overprice things !! I bought 3 new GE HPS ballasts that sat there for close to a year as they wanted $75 EACH !! . After awhile , the boxes disappeared and the parts got scattered around . I rounded what I could find up into one area and asked an employee how much . He sold them to me for $2 ea.

They'll sometimes show up on eBay. I think the Holophane 4215 is the correct one but this GE one should fit too. https://www.ebay.com/itm/265630111373

Yep, the 4215 is the correct refractor for the AEL.

I might have bought them from you, the only problem is that I don't live anywhere near Texas.
