Custom Neon Style Signs - Are They Worth It? « on: October 17, 2022, 07:41:03 PM » Author: 108CAM
With the rising popularity of decorative neon style signs, especially personalised signs with your name and an object of your choice, I've been wanting something like this but I don't want a junky Chinese thing that's made in a sweatshop and will go :eoled: within 6 months so I was wondering if there's any alternative means of getting such a sign made.
I was thinking of putting some low voltage LED Christmas lights inside a flexible plastic tube and then painting it in my desired colours and finally attaching the tube to a metal frame using zip ties to position the tube into the shape of the letters that make up my name.
Any thoughts on my idea or if the other option is worth the money?

Fluro starter pings combined with a 50hz ballast hum and blinking tubes is music to my ears.
