You can do what I did and find a used Thomas Duplex safe light for photography darkrooms. They have a 120V 35w SOX ballast and lamp and you can put the gear into another fixture or just use the safe light itself as ambient lighting. they seem to be more plentiful  and cheaper to find than SOX streetlights.
