80W/125W Mercury Vapour Ballasts « on: August 25, 2010, 04:47:11 PM » Author: SuperSix
I'm after an 80W and a 125W mercury vapour ballast. I've been checking ebay for a while now but they only seem to pop up either as a whole gear tray with lamp holder etc. or in large quantities. I'm in the UK so it needs to be 240V and postage would be easier if it came from someone UK based I should think.

I have a couple of 80W lamps which were running off an old 80W fluorescent lamp ballast. The 80W tube was designed to run off the 80W mercury ballast back in the war so essentially they are the same thing. This however is now being used for it's proper purpose with an 80W tube and I'm after a proper 80W mercury ballast.

The 80W ballast is more important as I have the lamps and want to use them. I also have 4 old bulkhead lights, proper big ones and I want to use one outside with a 125W mercury vapour lamp so I'm also looking for a 125W ballast too.

If anyone is willing to sell a ballast to me could they pm me with the price etc? :D

Don't worry about it any more! I now have both types of ballasts and no end of 80W and 125W lamps.

If you haven't found yet, both in the UK. Not mine, obviously:

I'm sorry it's taken over 4 years for me to finally reply to this. Thanks for everyone's help, I do have both types of ballasts now though!
