Sold my motorcycle today. « on: July 20, 2025, 10:37:03 PM » Author: suzukir122
Well... after owning it for a little over 6 years, I finally gave in and sold my Triumph Daytona 675 today. That was not easy for me to do. I sold it in an effort to purchase a daily driving car, to replace my original daily driving car that got totaled a couple years ago. I had no choice but to sell my Daytona. Early next year, I plan to purchase another newer Triumph Daytona 675, likely the Daytona 675"R"... we will see how things go in terms of this, but I absolutely will be making this priority sometime next year. Seeing how easy it was for me to sell my bike on Facebook Marketplace, I will do this again if need be, anytime I'm in a dire situation.
I will certainly miss it though. https://www.lighting-gallery.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=7853&pos=0&pid=252222

That's always sad, giving up something that you love, but it is for a good reason. Good luck getting a new one. 8;)

Yeah it sucked to get rid of it, but I gave it plenty of thought... and decided that it'd be much easier for me to find and purchase a much better
version of that bike. The 2011 and 2012 Daytona 675"R" is by far my most favorite version of the Daytona 675, and it will also perform better, depending
on if the previous owner took care of it.
Now I can focus on purchasing a regular daily, automatic, 4 cylinder car.

Get a V6 haha. Sorry you had to get rid of your motorcycle. Recently, my best friend totaled his bike (a 1999 Honda CBR900RR, manual and carbureted). Deer ran out into the roadway, he went around it, hit gravel (upstate NY backroads) and slid into a ditch. No injuries on his part, but it was a harrowing experience. I have a bike too, but I'm not allowed to ride it since my dad lost three of his friends on motorcycles...

Sometimes it just takes time and concerted effort to learn something new. Don't give up before you get there.

For my daily car, I don't want anything powerful... just something simple, small, plain and boring, that is good on gas mileage. This will be easy to
find with the amount of money I got from selling my bike... well, hopefully.
Sorry to hear about your friend... I've had to dodge deer from time to time as well on my bike. The CBR900RR... that is A LOT of power, and definitely
a heavy bike with that engine. Definitely can get tricky dodging things with a powerful heavier bike like that. I'm glad he wasn't hurt in the accident.
What bike do you currently have @Maxim? I assume at some point you will be given the all clear to ride it.
I would also hope of course that your bike isn't anything too powerful, like my Daytona 675, or anything within that supersport bike category. lol
As of now, I'll have to wait 8 months before the possibility of purchasing another motorcycle arises.
