Ken Rad F15T8/WWX CRI « on: August 06, 2026, 10:10:21 PM » Author: Emersyn
I'm getting some Ken Rad F15T8/WWX and I'm wondering what their CRI will be. I've heard deluxe halophosphor WW is around 80, but I'm not sure. My GTE Sylvania WWXs are triphosphor and only have a CRI of 72 unfortunately.

From what I have understood, I have read that WWX lamps are typically deluxe halophosphate lamps that have a CRI of just 67 in some cases. If you see a dark green flicker band on the camera with a lack of yellow, that is often an indication of a deluxe halophosphate lamp rather than a triphosphor lamp.

In the Westinghouse guide to fluorescent lamps, I see that they rate their WWX lamps with a CRI of 79:

https://www.scribd.com/document/110155293/Westinghouse-Guide-to-Fluorescent-Lamps-Brochure-1979

I recall seeing a WWX CRI of 67 in some engineering bulletins, but don’tvremember which one.

Thanks for the info! Westinghouse got Ken Rad's lamp division in 1943, but I think I heard Ken Rad branded lamps were made at the (former) Ken Rad factory in Owensboro, KY so I'm not sure how much different they are then their Westinghouse counterparts.

I believe GE’s were rated 77, at least during the 1980s-1990s era.
