Boiler Up, Hammer Down!
|
I am an avid fan of club music / trance. Some of my favorites are: In and Out of Love — Armin Van Buuren 'There's a Stranger in My House' — Tamia (Hex Hector Club Mix) 'I Turn to You' — Melanie C (Hex Hector Radio Edit) Here I Go Again — E-Type Something (Extended) — Lasgo 4th Rendezvous — Jean Michel Jarre Let Go — Paul van Dyk Tuvan — Armin Van Buuren Etc. I also listen to other types of music, but I will say it's my favorite. Any others like me here?

Understandable, @Ash . I have already gone through the rock phase (Muse, Radiohead, Evancescence, etc...) as well as the R&B phase (Akon, Timbaland, Mariah, etc...). So I fully understand your transition away. It seems to be a "temporary" fixation until I find the next thing that scratches my itch. But I will always come back in time and relisten, and still enjoy what were once my "favorite" genres. When I was younger, I really enjoyed Synthwave. Since I have all of those tracks downloaded to my phone, I usually queue them up when flying or traveling through regions with poor or nonexistent cell service.

I like muse but I wish their mastering was better. Their recordings have a quite noticible difference from all the other music artists I have listened to.... even the ones from the 60s... it is more "muted".

@HomeBrewLamps — I guess "Muse = Muted" But I certainly agree. They have a couple of songs that are decent, but some really bad offenders like 'Uprising' which has a muffled quality to it that makes it difficult to listen to and enjoy. Maybe this is intentional? I know Matt Bellamy has his own, distinct stylistic ideas.

| I like Supermassive Black Hole, Survival, and others. I had a period where that was near-everything I listened to.
