Different variations of the Thomas & Betts/AEL 113 doors?? « on: May 17, 2026, 02:00:21 PM » Author: MTSL
Is it just me or do some 113s have different looking doors than others. Also wonder if anyone else has noticed this. I have a few 113s and I noticed 3 different door designs.

I like HPS, Induction, and most recently, LEDs.

I prefer cobra heads that actually look like cobra heads.

I believe the one on the left is the later 115, with the 'blob' on the door going further back.

It’s actually a 113 from 2001. The label has “113-0H133” and the box that it was in had it labeled as a series 113.

The door could've been swapped before you got it .

The door was likely original or made around the same time as the fixture as the mold of the inner door is marked as being from 2001 and likely updated in 2000 given the marking on the mold on that area. Also, the 1998 T&B 113 I have has a different door than both I showed in that picture. The 1998 one is marked as being updated in 1997. And 115s also have a different door design, the part behind the lens is pushed back a bit more and is rounder on the 115 compared to the door of my 2001 T&B 113.
