I like math, lighting, computers and electronics(but I detest pointless ruinage of nice old stuff). LEDs should be better thought out. they are actually quite good if they are good quality. They should be built to a long life not to a cheap price!

@lightsofpahrump Unfortunately no, the linux kit won't work as it doesn't have an expansion bay. I believe the TV uses a PS2 Slim motherboard. Edit: according to google the PS2 tv uses the same motherboard as the SCPH 90004 PS2 slim

| Some RF tv modulators in both ATSC and NTSC can output the channel over the air when you connect the antenna to the output of the modulator. It makes it really fun to try with portable tvs. Signals usually just enough that it can be picked up the next room over etc. Usually it works when the modulator has 30-50 DBMV of RF power.

| I have these two audiovisual remotes in my bedroom. The one on the left is for a somewhat crappy Vizio ‘Smart Cinema Display’ (it can’t be called a TV because it doesn’t have a TV tuner), and the one on the right is for a 2002 Panasonic DVD-RP62 progressive-scan DVD player.

@rapidstart_12, nice! The Vizio isn't a TV? What's it look like? Sounds interesting. I may post update pics showing both of my remote controls, as well as both of my TV's while they're on.

@suzukir122 - It looks like an ordinary LCD TV. It just doesn’t have an RF input on the back. I’ll upload a picture of it at some point.

| I guess calling that a TV is like calling an ipod touch as an iphone. Sure the physical body is the same, but the feature that makes a TV a TV, or a phone a phone, are not there.
Google says many new TVs are sold as "Smart displays", meant to be used as a TV, but officially considered a monitor. That also explains Vizio calling it "Smart cinema display".
Anyways, ill post the photos of my 32" and 65" samsung TVs soon (the sony tv is currently buried under storage, would take a lot of time to find)

@rapidstart_12, it's unfortunate that there's no RF input on it. That looks like it would be a nice TV had it had the RF input. @LightsAreBright27, I look forward to seeing your TV's! I plan on uploading more photos of my TV's on this thread soon, both with my living room fluorescent fixtures on, and off.
