Saturday's Lamp Search « on: August 21, 2011, 12:13:52 PM » Author: Powell
Neither Lowes nor Home Depot had and 25 wcatt Shoplites. The Chapin True Value did have some GE F40DX Eco lamps in addition to the very boring Cool White.

Lowes and Home Depot have SUBSTANTIALLY cut back on some linear fluorescent lamps and on the shelves are a plethora of small specialty incandescent bulbs. I did get another T8 Phillips "Natural Sunshine" to go with the other one I got, so I can put it in my desk lamp ( with 2 lamps ) and the desk has 2 dual lamp fixtures on it.

The Phillips 15 and 20 watt bulbs say "Natural Sunshine"  ( I wonder what abnormal sunshine would be ) but the 40 watt 5000K bulbs say Colortone 50.  Are these the same thing with a different name ?

Target had NOTHING but  REVEAL linear lamps.  I noticed the 40 watt T12 Reveal lamps have a 15,000 rating and GE doesn't show CRI. I guess they are ashamed to show it is 60.
