Hi all, I'm looking for a GE M250 or M400 configured for a mercury vapor lamp. After browsing through most of the pictures posted here, these are the two I remember the most as a kid growing up in Massachusetts in the late 60's and 70's. I think the one outside my house was at least a M250 possibly a M400, although I'm partial to the design and smooth lines of the M400. I also think it had a blue Intermatic K4500 photo cell. Any assistance, advise or links will be greatly appreciated. I've had an interest in these lights since for years and only now have I been able to re-spark my interest with the help of the internet. One question, how are some members luckier than others and they have huge collections of many styles of street lights and photocells, it's amazing! I'm so envious.

Do you mean M400R2?The picture shows a M400R2.If you want one of those lamps, you could go to your local utility crew place and ask if they have one.I hope you find one. ;)

I ask people all the time for streetlights. I haven't gotten lucky EVERY time about it.

Just don't be afraid. xD I have asked many linemen and workers before.

I have thirteen cobraheads in my collection now. xD

I've personally never asked for anything from a lineman. Most work the graveyard shift here during lower traffic volumes so I'm in bed. :(
