LED Panel Lamps « on: November 25, 2011, 10:14:42 PM » Author: LampLover
I found a vintage Receiver in the trash and I want to replace the incandescent lamps with LED replacements
There are six lamps five clear @ 6.3VAC and one Red @ 6VAC
Any one know where to get a these?
All I can find is 12VDC for cars/Trucks
I need a 6VAC lamp with an MES (Miniature Edison Screw E10)Base

Thanks

You can make your own modules for any voltage with just LEDs and resistors

You can connect 6V AC to a doubler to get about 17V DC. Then use a 12V module which is ballasted by resistors (not linear regulator or PWM) and connect extra power resistor in series with it to drop the extra 5V

There are companies that make these, but I don't remember who they are.  Just that the #47 replacement  CAN NOT be used as the single lamp run off the tap of the rectifier tube on a a radio that is an AC / DC model.
