well paintballer   i find the metalux fixure have side mounted knockouts for clip in starters  but i also have one fixture from junking that going to need some fixin up  it have broken socket so was going to gut that one for the spare socket.  and ballast but i can let that one slide since i have that replacement socket with starter socket. http://www.lighting-gallery.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=230&pos=92&pid=60253

how about merry christmas paintballer i give to ya free. it did not cost me any thing. all you need to do is replace then lamp holder. dont know the condition of the ballast. let me find wich best route to ship this. and will go from there. i turn one of the lamp holder inside the ballast channel. so it wont get damage from shipping.

Another option would be to keep an eye out for American Fluorescent single lamp strips.  Although they all come with electronic ballasts now, they (at least the one I have) still have starter knockouts in them.

I have some of those type also, Icefoglights.  Mine came as rapid start, but have the starter knock outs.
