Unusual mounting of outdoor fixtures indoors « on: August 16, 2012, 03:29:33 AM » Author: DaveMan
I was on a website that showed off some historic buildings, and in this old school I saw what appeared to be mercury vapor GE Powrglo fixtures used inside a cafeteria mounted on top of the metal ceiling beams. I'll link both of the pictures and a link to the webpage itself. I thought this was interesting. Has anyone else seen normally outdoor mounted indoors in an unusual arrangements like this?

the site itself, which appears to be dedicated to vegas architecture and was found in a random google search.

With that said, enjoy!

Nope, but i seen mercury and incandescent plastic spheres to be installed upside down from beams

I am not sure that it is original setup - Above the fixture there is a hole in the ceiling where perhaps another fixture was installed before

Wild, never seen anything like that before! The architect deserves credit for a unique design.

That is an unusual setup.  I like it!  :mv:

That appears to be either a blocked off skylight or an HVAC vent above the one fixture.

I like the setup. It looks like the far left one has an EOL lamp in it (far shot pic).
