Vintage fluorescent fixture reproductions? « on: February 11, 2012, 07:13:53 PM » Author: Matthew ONeill
I saw a recently opened restaurant here in New Orleans that had what appear to be either restored preheat fluorescent light fixtures or reproductions of 1940's vintage lights. Does any one know anything about these? I will try to get a better picture if I can get out that way again, this one is from their facebook page. The place looks cool, vintage lights an Hunter Original ceiling fans, my kind of eatery.

There is a recent vintage trend and some young craftsmen get vintage furniture or materials, restore them, and sell them to restaurants, advertising agencies, web agencies, etc.

So I guess that these ones are vintage.

Either way I think it's very cool to see the reuse of those old gems.

i think the most work i have had to put into a vintage fixture is a repaint.
they dont seem to ever die.
