Want for a display fixture which is European, but I am in US.  Looking for 5 or 6 bulbs, no other specifics required.  Guess I could use T8 too.

100cm converts to around 39-inches .. doing a quick Google search, looks like such a lamp does exist :)
Something like this for the T8 version? http://www.bulbs.com/espec.aspx?ID=13433

Google for TL 25W. These are European T12 tubes and 100cm long. There is also a T8 version called TLD 23W.

As well there is a also a 36W version of this lamp in the required length. So make sure which wattage the ballasts are.  ;)

If you realy need a T12 40W-1m version of it you have to look after Sylvania tubes as they're still available.

Good luck  :D

I have 25 watt version or 40W-1 meter available, you want?? Most of the time it is 25 watts, 40 watts was used for special size ceiling lights.. Measure the exact size between lampholders or check ballast
